Trendyol, a large Turkish-born e-commerce platform, held the third edition of Trendyol Partner Gathering in Bucharest this week, focusing on the platform’s development in the Central and Eastern European region.
During the event, the company said that more than 12,000 Romanian merchants were active on Trendyol in 2026, nearly four times more than last year.
“We have grown significantly together with our local partners, and today Romanian merchants contribute approximately 65% to Trendyol’s business volume in Romania. At the same time, our commitment to the local market can also be seen in the investments we are making here, from the local team and logistics infrastructure to the technology and tools we are developing for sellers,” said Erdem İnan, CEO of Trendyol Group, at the event.
In addition to that, roughly 4,000 of the Romanian merchants managed to sell their products in Greece and Bulgaria through the platform. They contribute 35% of Trendyol’s total sales volume in the two countries.
Another central point of the discussion was the use of artificial intelligence to simplify and streamline merchants’ activities. Trendyol presented the “Partener” functionalities, an AI assistant dedicated to sellers, through which merchants can interact with the platform in conversational language, quickly analyze complex data, receive personalized reports and recommendations for increasing sales, and get answers to questions related to their business performance.
Also during the event, Trendyol organized the first edition of the Trendyol Star Awards, an initiative dedicated to recognizing the achievements of merchants in its community. The awards were presented in five categories, from business growth and cross-border development to operational performance and involvement in programs dedicated to sellers.
Noriel received the award for the fastest growth, while Kfea was named the winner in the fastest cross-border growth category. CM Beauty was awarded for the most active merchant in Seller Center, while Topface Romania received the award for operational excellence.
The award for the most engaged seller went to Momirov Cosmetics, following its active participation in Trendyol Academy workshops and more than 180 hours of learning and development.
