The volume of construction works rose in July 2026 compared with June 2026 by 7.6% in gross terms and by 1.4% in seasonally and working-day-adjusted terms. Compared with July 2025, it increased by 2.0% as a gross series, while as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, it decreased by 8.3%.

In July 2026, compared with June 2026, the volume of construction works increased, as a gross series, by 7.6%, with increases recorded in maintenance and current repairs works (9.2%), capital repairs works (7.3%) and new construction works (7.2%).
By type of construction, increases were recorded in non-residential buildings (11.4%), residential buildings (9.0%) and engineering construction works (5.3%).
As a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works increased by 1.4%, with increases recorded in maintenance and current repairs works (7.3%), new construction works (4.1%) and capital repairs works (2.7%).
By type of construction, the volume of construction works increased in non-residential buildings (9.0%), residential buildings (3.9%) and engineering construction works (1.6%).
July 2026 compared with July 2025
In July 2026, compared with July 2025, the volume of construction works, as a gross series, increased overall by 2.0%.
By structural elements, an increase was recorded in new construction works (6.4%), while capital repair works and maintenance and current repair works decreased by 8.7% and 3.2%, respectively.
By type of construction, increases were recorded in residential buildings (10.8%) and non-residential buildings (1.3%), while engineering construction decreased by 0.5%.
As a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works decreased overall by 8.3%. By structural elements, decreases were recorded in capital repair works (11.8%) and maintenance and current repair works (5.1%). New construction works increased by 4.6%.
By type of construction, the volume of construction works increased in residential buildings (9.6%) and non-residential buildings (0.2%), while engineering construction decreased by 2.4%.
January-July 2026 compared with January-July 2025
The INS said that in the period January 1-July 31, 2026, compared with the same period in 2025, the volume of construction works, as a gross series, increased overall by 11.2%, with increases recorded in new construction works (14.2%), maintenance and current repairs works (7.0%) and capital repairs works (4.0%).
By type of construction, increases were recorded in residential buildings (18.6%), engineering construction (10.6%) and non-residential buildings (7.5%).
At the same time, the volume of construction works increased, as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, by 8.2%, with increases recorded in new construction works (13.4%), maintenance and current repair works (6.3%), and capital repair works (2.9%).
By type of construction, increases were recorded in residential buildings (17.9%), engineering construction (8.4%), and non-residential buildings (7.2%), according to INS data.
