The decision was approved by the Transport Ministry following a request from Metrorex.<\/p>\n<p>The new pricing structure was signed off by transport minister Ciprian \u0218erban, who confirmed the measure to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euronews.ro\/articole\/pretul-unei-calatorii-cu-metroul-va-costa-7-lei-ciprian-serban-a-semnat-ordinul-i\" target=\"_blank\">Euronews Romania<\/a>. The increase also applies to subscriptions and travel passes across the subway network.<\/p>\n<p>Under the new tariffs, a monthly pass will rise to RON 140 from RON 100, while a 24-hour pass will double to RON 18 from RON 9, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zf.ro\/eveniment\/oficial-metrorex-scumpeste-tarifele-la-metrou-de-la-1-mai-o-23134034\" target=\"_blank\">Ziarul Financiar<\/a>.
