His latest film, <em>Three Kilometers to the End of the World<\/em>, premiered in competition at Cannes, where it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.romania-insider.com\/romanian-film-queer-palm-award-cannes-2024\" target=\"_blank\">won the Queer Palm<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For the Investors Circle, he joins No\u00e9 Debr\u00e9 (France), screenwriter of <em>Dheepan<\/em>, a Palme d\u2019Or winner at the Festival de Cannes, and collaborator of filmmakers including Jacques Audiard and Romain Gavras; Isma\u00ebl El Iraki (Morocco\/France), whose debut feature <em>Zanka Contact<\/em> premiered in Orizzonti at the Venice Film Festival; Felipe G\u00e1lvez (Chile), whose debut feature <em>The Settlers (Los Colonos)<\/em> premiered in Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival, where it received the FIPRESCI Prize; Atsuko Hirayanagi (Japan\/USA) , an award-winning screenwriter and director based in San Francisco; Juho Kuosmanen (Finland), the Helsinki-based filmmaker whose works have all been awarded at the Festival de Cannes, including <em>The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli M\u00e4ki<\/em> (Un Certain Regard) and <em>Compartment No. 6<\/em>, which won the Grand Prix in Competition at Cannes; Carine Tardieu (France); and Magnus von Horn (Sweden\/Poland), whose film <em>Sweat<\/em> (2020) screened in the Festival de Cannes\u2019 official selection, and <em>The Girl with the Needle<\/em> (2024) also premiered in competition, earning international recognition, including Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Photo: PR)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>simona@romania-insider.com<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Emanuel P\u00e2rvu is among the eight directors selected to present their projects at this year&#8217;s Investors Circle, the March\u00e9 du Film\u2019s initiative connecting private investors with film projects, held during the 79th Festival de Cannes.
