The deal is seen as strategically important, as Romgaz could provide a stable supply of natural gas &#8211; the key input for fertilizer production &#8211; to revive the plant\u2019s activity.<\/p>\n<p>According to sources familiar with the discussions, the main sticking point in negotiations remains the valuation of Azomure\u0219, with disagreements over price delaying progress.<\/p>\n<p>In parallel, the Romanian government is considering broader support measures for the domestic chemical industry. A draft project analyzed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.profit.ro\/perspective\/schimbari-legislative-pentru-firme\/ultima-ora-romgaz-va-primi-facilitati-daca-salveaza-azomures-scutiri-de-impozit-pe-profitul-reinvestit-cladiri-terenuri-plus-amortizare-superaccelerata-proiect-22381189?mc_cid=1450b850cc&amp;mc_eid=cd1f92f96c\" target=\"_blank\">Profit.ro<\/a> provides a package of incentives for companies using natural gas in production, including a five-year exemption from profit tax starting from the first investment, super-accelerated depreciation, as well as exemptions from taxes on buildings and land.
