{"id":9118,"date":"2026-03-02T15:00:37","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T15:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=9118"},"modified":"2026-03-02T15:00:37","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T15:00:37","slug":"gopo-awards-2026-jury-announced-for-124-romanian-films-awaiting-nominations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=9118","title":{"rendered":"Gopo Awards 2026: Jury announced for 124 Romanian films awaiting nominations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Association for the Promotion of Romanian Film announced the members of the two juries who will decide the nominees, productions, and artists for the 2026 Gopo Awards, the most important awards in the Romanian film industry.<\/p>\n<p>This year, 124 Romanian films released in 2025 enter the judging stage: feature films, documentaries, and short films, released in cinemas, at national and international festivals, or on streaming platforms. The two juries will determine the nominations for the feature film, documentary, and short film categories.<\/p>\n<p>The preselection jury that will establish the feature film nominations consists of 11 professionals from the film industry, namely film critics Irina Margareta Nistor, Alin Ludu Dumbrav\u0103, and Andrei \u0218endrea; directors Bogdan Mure\u0219anu and Andrei T\u0103nase; actress Elvira Deatcu; film producer Oana Iancu; cinematographer Alexandru Sterian; editor Eugen Kelemen; production designer Cristian Niculescu; and costume designer Dana Anghel.<\/p>\n<p>The documentary and short film jury includes five names: Editor-in-Chief of Films in Frame Laura Mu\u0219at; directors Isabela Tent and Paul Negoescu; editor Tudor D. Popescu; and film promoter C\u0103t\u0103lin Anchidin.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 38 feature films are on the proposed list for nominations in the Best Film category. Among these are: <em>Cravata galben\u0103<\/em> (dir. Serge Ioan Celebidachi), <em>Kontinental \u201925<\/em> and <em>Dracula<\/em> (dir. Radu Jude), <em>Din\u021bi de lapte<\/em> (dir. Mihai Mincan), <em>Ink wash<\/em> (dir. Sarra Tsorakidis), <em>Interior Zero<\/em> (dir. Eugen Jebeleanu), <em>Nu m\u0103 l\u0103sa s\u0103 mor<\/em> (dir. Andrei Epure), <em>P\u0103durea de molizi<\/em> (dir. Tudor Giurgiu), <em>Rusalka<\/em> (dir. Claudiu Mitcu), <em>Cursa<\/em> (dir. Anghel Damian, Millo Simulov), and <em>Vecina<\/em> (dir. Cristian Ili\u0219uan, Eugene Buic\u0103).<\/p>\n<p>Among the 14 productions registered in the documentary category following the call launched in January are: <em>Dup\u0103 cioate<\/em> (dir. Radu Mocanu, Mihai Dragolea), <em>O familie aproape perfect\u0103<\/em> (dir. Tudor Platon), <em>Viitor luminos<\/em> (dir. Andra MacMasters), <em>TWST \u2013 Things We Said Today<\/em> (dir. Andrei Ujic\u0103), <em>Tata<\/em> (dir. Radu Ciorniciuc, Lina Vdov\u00eei), and <em>Little Syria<\/em> (dir. Reem Karssli, M\u0103d\u0103lina Ro\u0219ca).<\/p>\n<p>In the short film category, 77 titles were registered \u2013 fiction films, documentaries, and animations. The list of Romanian short films registered for this edition includes productions such as <em>Magicianul<\/em> (dir. Bogdan Mure\u0219anu), <em>Dragostea e \u00een aer<\/em> (dir. Claudiu Mitcu), <em>Nebunul<\/em> (dir. Igor Cobileanski), <em>Fata care pl\u00e2nge<\/em> (dir. Octav Chelaru), and <em>Ajutoare<\/em> (dir. Valentin Fogoro\u0219).<\/p>\n<p>Nominations in all categories will be determined in March.
