Ciucu is the mayor of Bucharest\u2019s District 6, while B\u0103lu\u021b\u0103 leads the District 4 City Hall.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the ranking based on the Curs-Avangarde exit poll is as follows: Ciprian Ciucu (32.7%), Daniel B\u0103lu\u021b\u0103 (26.3%), Anca Alexandrescu, the candidate backed by far-right party Alliance for the Union of Romanians (20.2%), C\u0103t\u0103lin Drul\u0103, supported by the reformist Union Save Romania party (12.8%), and Ana Ciceal\u0103 with 6%<\/p>\n<p>Exit polls do not give the final results of the elections. The percentages are compiled based on the answers that people leaving the polling stations give to authorized pollsters.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the exit polls, Daniel B\u0103lu\u021b\u0103 thanked Bucharest residents for their turnout and called for \u201cmaximum attention\u201d in the polling stations during the counting of the ballots. He stated that the result is \u201cinconclusive\u201d until the counting process is completed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ciprian Ciucu, the winner of the elections according to the exit polls, also thanked those who voted. \u201cI want to send a message of unity for the parties in the governing coalition, especially for those in the center-right. We will have a lot of work at the PMB, and we will have many projects to pass. I want to make Bucharest the project of my life, and not in the short term, but in the long term,\u201d Ciucu said, cited by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digi24.ro\/alegeri-bucuresti-2025\/daniel-baluta-rezultatul-este-unul-neconcludent-primele-declaratii-dupa-inchiderea-urnelor-3536101\">Digi24<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ciucu also thanked the leader of the National Liberal Party, prime minister Ilie Bolojan, for his support. \u201cI wanted to be the mayor of Bucharest. It is good that I started as a sector mayor because I feel much better prepared than 5\u20136 years ago. I am living the dream of my life, and I thank the Bucharest residents very, very much for having trusted me and voted for me,\u201d he concluded.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The result can be seen as a defeat for former Bucharest mayor and now president of Romania, Nicu\u0219or Dan, who backed former transport minister C\u0103t\u0103lin Drul\u0103.<\/p>\n<p>About a third of Bucharest residents, or 32.7%, voted in the partial local elections, down from 39.3% last year.
