{"id":631,"date":"2024-06-25T06:08:35","date_gmt":"2024-06-25T06:08:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=631"},"modified":"2024-06-25T06:08:35","modified_gmt":"2024-06-25T06:08:35","slug":"regional-and-local-factors-push-up-spot-electricity-price-above-eur-400-per-mwh-in-romania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=631","title":{"rendered":"Regional and local factors push up spot electricity price above EUR 400 per MWh in Romania"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A recent blackout in the Western Balkans states, the heatwave, and the nuclear plant Nuclearelectriva operating only one of its reactors pushed up the average electricity price on Romania\u2019s day-ahead market (DAM) above EUR 200 per MWh for the delivery day June 25.\u00a0The hourly price peaked above EUR 420 per MWh in the evening hours, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.economica.net\/preturile-la-energie-electrica-spot-din-romania-ajung-la-maximul-anuluim-maine-seara-pretul-sare-de-400-de-euro-mwh_756091.html?mc_cid=b766dee5ca&amp;mc_eid=cd1f92f96c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Economica.net<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>Both the average and the spike prices are new records for this year.<\/p>\n<p>Higher average prices on the DAM market for June 25 were reported in Hungary and particularly Croatia, however, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.profit.ro\/povesti-cu-profit\/energie\/grafic-canicula-si-problemele-regionale-spulbera-recordurile-pe-piata-de-electricitate-21641219?mc_cid=b766dee5ca&amp;mc_eid=cd1f92f96c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Profit.ro<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Last Friday, there was a widespread blackout affecting four Western Balkan states &#8211; three in total (Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina) and one in part (Croatia).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The flows during the peak consumption Unit 1 of the nuclear power plant from Cernavod\u0103 have been under review for a month, until June 25.
