Indie American films, canoe and kayak rides, and the march celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community are among the events happening in Bucharest. Jazz takes center stage in Cluj, while very short films are screened in Timi\u0219oara as part of an event which takes place simultaneously in 50 cities around the world.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Phoenician Scheme<\/span>, Wes Anderson\u2019s newest film, opens the festival dedicated to independent North American productions. Gia Coppola\u2019s The Last Showgirl will have its local premiere at the festival, which will also screen restored versions of David Lynch\u2019s Inland Empire and Francis Ford Coppola\u2019s The Conversation, starring Gene Hackman. Bucharest Organ Fest<\/span><\/p>\n

The festival explores the organ in its various roles, presenting the instrument as a soloist, chamber partner or accompanist. The event takes place at the Roman Catholic Cathedral St. Joseph, the National University of Music Bucharest, the Evangelical Church of the Holy Trinity, the Sacr\u00e9-Coeur Church and the Labyrinth Church. From fiction to animation or documentary, there is something for everyone in the festival\u2019s five selections: TR\u00c8S INTERNATIONALE \u2013 the main section of the festival, presented in two parts, with stories from all over the world; TR\u00c8S FRENCHY \u2013 which highlights French-speaking authors, TR\u00c8S FI\u00c8R-E-S \u2013 an inclusive, queer and feminist selection, TR\u00c8S DOCUMENTAIRE \u2013 with topics of general concern, and TR\u00c8S FAMILIALE \u2013 the selection dedicated to young viewers, to be enjoyed together with the whole family.
