{"id":4300,"date":"2025-03-24T16:06:24","date_gmt":"2025-03-24T16:06:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=4300"},"modified":"2025-03-24T16:06:24","modified_gmt":"2025-03-24T16:06:24","slug":"one-world-romania-documentary-and-human-rights-festival-kicks-off-in-bucharest-next-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=4300","title":{"rendered":"One World Romania: Documentary and human rights festival kicks off in Bucharest next week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More than 50 documentary films, including seven Romanian feature films, will be screened at this year&#8217;s <em>International Documentary and Human Rights Film Festival One World Romania.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The event takes place between April 4 and April 13 at the Peasant Museum Cinema, Elvire Popesco Cinema, and Union Cinema in Bucharest.<\/p>\n<p>The festival has three main sections (Dialogues, Reverberations, Existing, Resisting), a focus section dedicated this year to British filmmaker \u00a0Marc Isaacs, a section experimenting with the debate format (Extended Dialogues) and a series of events in categories dedicated to Community, Education, Industry.<\/p>\n<p>A novelty at this year&#8217;s edition is the OWR Friends section, which will present several films developed within the festival or whose directors have participated in OWR industry programs over time.<\/p>\n<p>Ana Rieper&#8217;s film <em>Paradise<\/em> will open the festival on April 4, while Igor Bezinovi\u00e6&#8217;s <em>Fiume o Morte!<\/em> will be screened at the closing of the event on April 12.<\/p>\n<p>Among the films that will be screened at the festival are Andra MacMasters\u2019s <em>Viitor luminos\/ Bright Future<\/em>, Anelise S\u0103lan\u2019s <em>Interzis\/ Forbidden<\/em>, Mihai Gavril Dragolea and Radu Mocanu\u2019s <em>Dup\u0103 cioate<\/em>, and Simona Constantin\u2019s <em>Caliu: Nicidecum altceva, ce s\u0103 fac altceva?<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the titles presented at the festival will also be available for online streaming between April 14 and April 30 from anywhere in Romania.<\/p>\n<p>More on the festival&#8217;s program <a href=\"https:\/\/oneworld.ro\/ro\/festival\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>simona@romania-insider.com<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than 50 documentary films, including seven Romanian feature films, will be screened at this year&#8217;s International Documentary and Human Rights Film Festival One World Romania.
