{"id":4299,"date":"2025-03-24T16:06:24","date_gmt":"2025-03-24T16:06:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=4299"},"modified":"2025-03-24T16:06:24","modified_gmt":"2025-03-24T16:06:24","slug":"paris-photography-exhibition-looks-at-bucharests-transformation-over-three-decades","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=4299","title":{"rendered":"Paris photography exhibition looks at Bucharest\u2019s transformation over three decades"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Bucarest \u2013 Trente Ans Apr\u00e8s \/ Bucharest \u2013 Thirty Years Later<\/em>, an exhibition of photography by Laure Hinckel, is scheduled to open at the Macadam Gallery in Paris this week.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition, organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) in Paris, proposes \u201ca visual dialogue about the transformation of Bucharest over three decades.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It includes 18 photographs taken in various places in Bucharest in 1994 and 2024, along with a collection of memorabilia \u2013 posters, postcards, and notebook pages.<\/p>\n<p>A first exhibition, featuring photos made in 1994, was organized in January 1995 at the French Institute in Bucharest. &#8220;<em>Bucarest &#8211; Thirty Years Later<\/em> continues this visual dialogue and reaffirms the cultural affinities between France and Romania,\u201d a presentation of the event reads.<\/p>\n<p>Laure Hinckel is a French translator specializing in Romanian literature. After studying journalism in Tours, she collaborated with publications in France and came to Romania as a reporter. She has translated into French works by Camil Petrescu, \u0218tefan Agopian, Matei Vi\u0219niec, Andrei Ple\u0219u, and Mircea C\u0103rt\u0103rescu.<\/p>\n<p>She received the Antoaneta Ralian Translation Award, awarded by Radio Romania at the Gaudeamus Book Fair, for the bilingual album <em>Bucharest &#8211; Thirty Years Later \/ Bucarest &#8211; Trente Ans Apr\u00e8s<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The album <em>Bucarest &#8211; Trente Ans Apr\u00e8s\u00a0<\/em>will be presented in April at the <em>Festival du Livre 2025<\/em> in Paris.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is open between March 27 and June 1.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Illustration: ICR)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>simona@romania-insider.com<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bucarest \u2013 Trente Ans Apr\u00e8s \/ Bucharest \u2013 Thirty Years Later, an exhibition of photography by Laure Hinckel, is scheduled to open at the Macadam Gallery in Paris this week.
