{"id":4272,"date":"2025-03-21T13:02:12","date_gmt":"2025-03-21T13:02:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=4272"},"modified":"2025-03-21T13:02:12","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T13:02:12","slug":"productions-from-chile-germany-at-upcoming-international-theater-season-in-bucharest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=4272","title":{"rendered":"Productions from Chile, Germany at upcoming international theater season in Bucharest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Theater productions from Chile, Germany, and Romania will be showcased in the upcoming <em>International Theatre Season 2025<\/em>, a project rolled out by ARCUB &#8211; the Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Bucharest.<\/p>\n<p>The season, which will cover the months of April and May, gathers productions \u201cexploring the realities of the contemporary world in a modern dramatic language.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The first edition of the program, curated by Oana Bor\u0219 and Ioana Anghel, is held under the theme \u201cCommon Space: The Present.\u201d It aims to highlight \u201cvarious distinct theatrical and aesthetic cultures, united by the same need to understand and reflect on the present.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chilean production <em>Reminiscencia<\/em>, directed by Malicho Vaca Valenzuela, will open the program. The production was previously presented at the Avignon Theatre Festival, TransAm\u00e9riques Festival (Canada), and Festival Grec de Barcelona (Spain). It is a biographical documentary essay connecting personal moments of the artist Malicho Vaca Valenzuela to the history of Santiago, Chile\u2019s capital. Two performances are scheduled for April 4 and April 5 at ARCUB.<\/p>\n<p>Berlin theater Schaub\u00fchne will bring to Bucharest <em>A Girl\u2019s Story<\/em>, based on the novel of the same name by Annie Ernaux, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2022. Directed by Sarah Kohm, it is a one-woman show starring actress Veronika Bachfischer in \u201can exploration of female vulnerability, trauma, and the slow and painful process of self-discovery.\u201d Two performances are scheduled for May 16 and May 17.<\/p>\n<p>The Fani Tardini Theatre in Gala\u021bi will present the comedy <em>Queen of the Night<\/em>, written and directed by Leta Popescu.
