{"id":425,"date":"2024-06-07T07:21:49","date_gmt":"2024-06-07T07:21:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=425"},"modified":"2024-06-07T07:21:49","modified_gmt":"2024-06-07T07:21:49","slug":"romanias-transgaz-kicks-off-construction-of-pipeline-for-1-7gw-gas-fired-plant-mintia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=425","title":{"rendered":"Romania\u2019s Transgaz kicks off construction of pipeline for 1.7GW gas-fired plant Mintia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Romanian state-owned company Transgaz (BVB: TRG), the operator of the national natural gas transmission system, has begun contracting the materials, components, and works necessary to build the supply pipeline for the new 1,700 MW gas-fired power plant at Mintia.<\/p>\n<p>The power plant is being developed by Mass Global Energy Rom of the Jordanian entrepreneur Ahmad Ismail Saleh and is scheduled for completion in 2026, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.profit.ro\/povesti-cu-profit\/energie\/transgaz-a-demarat-contractarea-construirii-conductei-de-alimentare-a-noii-centrale-de-1-700-mw-de-la-mintia-care-va-fi-cel-mai-mare-consumator-de-gaze-din-romania-21618305?mc_cid=65de29a216&amp;mc_eid=cd1f92f96c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Profit.ro<\/a> reported.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The plant will be the largest industrial objective and the largest consumer of natural gas in Romania, with an annual consumption of 2.5 billion cubic meters.<\/p>\n<p>Transgaz started the contracting tenders for the pipeline immediately after signing the European non-refundable financing contract under the Modernization Fund.
