{"id":3836,"date":"2025-02-21T13:59:30","date_gmt":"2025-02-21T13:59:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=3836"},"modified":"2025-02-21T13:59:30","modified_gmt":"2025-02-21T13:59:30","slug":"education-ministry-publishes-2024-list-of-top-universities-in-romania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=3836","title":{"rendered":"Education Ministry publishes 2024 list of top universities in Romania"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Romania\u2019s Ministry of Education released the latest edition of the National Metaranking, identifying the top universities in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The ranking has undergone minor changes compared to last year\u2019s edition or the last independent metaranking published in the fall by academic experts.<\/p>\n<p>The Transilvania University of Bra\u0219ov has entered the top 5 universities in Romania, alongside Babe\u0219-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, the University of Bucharest, Politehnica University of Bucharest, and Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest.\u00a0On the other hand, UMF Iuliu Ha\u021bieganu in Cluj-Napoca, dropped to 6th place.<\/p>\n<p>The National Metaranking, which includes 32 universities, serves as the basis for the procedures through which the Ministry of Education and Research allocates research funding to universities, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edupedu.ro\/cele-mai-bune-universitati-romanesti-universitatea-babes-bolyai-din-cluj-napoca-universitatea-din-bucuresti-si-politehnica-bucuresti-metarankingul-national-2024-clasamentul-oficial-publicat-de-mi\/\">Edupedu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The top three universities &#8211; Babe\u0219-Bolyai University, the University of Bucharest, and Politehnica Bucharest &#8211; are the only ones with scores exceeding 20,000, according to the evaluation procedures of the metaranking\u2019s authors.<\/p>\n<p>The Top 10 also includes Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Ia\u0219i, the West University of Timi\u0219oara, the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), and the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.<\/p>\n<p><strong>National Metaranking 2024, published by the Ministry of Education and Research:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Babe\u0219-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca<br \/>\nUniversity of Bucharest<br \/>\nUNST Politehnica Bucharest<br \/>\nCarol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest<br \/>\nTransilvania University of Bra\u0219ov<br \/>\nIuliu Ha\u021bieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj-Napoca<br \/>\nAlexandru Ioan Cuza University, Ia\u0219i<br \/>\nWest University of Timi\u0219oara<br \/>\nBucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE)<br \/>\nTechnical University of Cluj-Napoca<\/p>\n<p>So far, the Ministry of Education and Research has only published the ranking itself for 2024.
