{"id":3730,"date":"2025-02-14T11:03:23","date_gmt":"2025-02-14T11:03:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=3730"},"modified":"2025-02-14T11:03:23","modified_gmt":"2025-02-14T11:03:23","slug":"documentary-about-brancusi-screened-in-bucharest-next-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=3730","title":{"rendered":"Documentary about Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i screened in Bucharest next week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alain Fleischer\u2019s documentary <em>Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i, Les m\u00e9tamorphoses de la sculpture <\/em>will be screened on February 18 the Great Hall of the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR).<\/p>\n<p>The production, written and directed by Fleischer and narrated by Christian Gonon, highlights Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i&#8217;s role as the founder of modern sculpture.<\/p>\n<p>It reconstructs the creative path of the Romanian sculptor, explores the artist&#8217;s relationship with the avant-garde of the early 20th century &#8211; his friendships with prominent figures such as Tristan Tzara, Ezra Pound, Fernand L\u00e9ger, Marcel Duchamp, and Man Ray &#8211; and how Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i used photography and film to document and stage his own works.<\/p>\n<p>The documentary is the last film made in Atelier Brancusi (Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i&#8217;s Studio) opposite the National Museum of Modern Art Georges Pompidou in Paris before its complete dismantling as part of the museum renovation works, set to last until 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Access to the screening is free.
