{"id":3350,"date":"2025-01-17T09:00:41","date_gmt":"2025-01-17T09:00:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=3350"},"modified":"2025-01-17T09:00:41","modified_gmt":"2025-01-17T09:00:41","slug":"romanian-citizen-company-indicted-by-eppo-for-fraud-in-eu-funded-danube-delta-development-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=3350","title":{"rendered":"Romanian citizen, company indicted by EPPO for fraud in EU-funded Danube Delta development project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office (EPPO) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eppo.europa.eu\/en\/media\/news\/romania-two-indicted-fraud-involving-funds-development-danube-delta\" target=\"_blank\">announced<\/a> that its local branch filed an indictment at the Bucharest Tribunal against one Romanian citizen and one company for fraud involving a project for the development of the Danube Delta, co-funded by the EU.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The project, co-funded under the EU\u2019s Regional Operational Program 2014-2020, aimed to expand the company\u2019s operations to include construction services by acquiring heavy machinery. The EU and Romanian government jointly covered 70.95% of the project\u2019s eligible costs.
