{"id":331,"date":"2024-05-31T07:02:39","date_gmt":"2024-05-31T07:02:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=331"},"modified":"2024-05-31T07:02:39","modified_gmt":"2024-05-31T07:02:39","slug":"la-cocos-is-first-local-player-among-romanias-ten-largest-retailers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=331","title":{"rendered":"La Cocos is first local player among Romania\u2019s ten largest retailers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Local retailer La Cocos, with its turnover leaping by 36.5% y\/y to RON 974 million (nearly EUR 200 million), is the first Romanian player to make it to the top ten largest retail chains in the country, according to 2023 financial data collected and compiled by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.economica.net\/top-retaileri-alimentari-2023_750512.html?mc_cid=df19e39d71&amp;mc_eid=cd1f92f96c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Economica.net<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Carrefour taking over local operations of Cora \u2013 both top-ten players previously \u2013 helped La Cocos advance in the ranking of local retailers by turnover.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There are five large players with a turnover in excess of RON 10 billion (EUR 2 billion) each, with German Lidl (RON 21.7 billion) and Kaufland (RON 18.3 billion) in the lead positions.
