{"id":3214,"date":"2025-01-08T08:07:48","date_gmt":"2025-01-08T08:07:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=3214"},"modified":"2025-01-08T08:07:48","modified_gmt":"2025-01-08T08:07:48","slug":"romania-requires-ec-to-lift-emission-tax-requirements-for-the-electricity-exported-to-moldova","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=3214","title":{"rendered":"Romania requires EC to lift emission tax requirements for the electricity exported to Moldova"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Romania and Moldova have asked the European Commission (EC) for a temporary derogation from the CO2 certificate requirements for the production of electricity in Romania that goes to the Republic of Moldova, where there is a state of emergency in the energy system, said the Romanian minister of energy Sebastian Burduja, as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/economedia.ro\/romania-cere-comisiei-europene-sa-elimine-temporar-taxele-co2-pentru-energia-livrata-republicii-moldova.html?mc_cid=642b75c9d4&amp;mc_eid=cd1f92f96c\" target=\"_blank\">Economedia.ro<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Burduja explained that this exemption from paying carbon certificates &#8220;would help the government of Moldova bear this expense.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Currently, Moldova imports some 50%-60% of its electricity from Romania, part of it from the day-ahead market, after Russia cut the natural gas supplies.
