{"id":2577,"date":"2024-11-14T09:09:03","date_gmt":"2024-11-14T09:09:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=2577"},"modified":"2024-11-14T09:09:03","modified_gmt":"2024-11-14T09:09:03","slug":"romanias-govt-publishes-formula-for-eu-compliant-minimum-statutory-wage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=2577","title":{"rendered":"Romania\u2019s Govt. publishes formula for EU-compliant minimum statutory wage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Romania\u2019s Labour Ministry published on November 13 the draft bill for updating the minimum statutory wage on an annual basis, by indexation with a coefficient that includes inflation and labour productivity gain, <a href=\"https:\/\/cursdeguvernare.ro\/formula-actualizare-anuala-salariu-minim-pusa-dezbatere.html?mc_cid=c4f1f0c374&amp;mc_eid=cd1f92f96c\" target=\"_blank\">Cursdeguvernare.ro<\/a> reported.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In case the result is lower than 52% of the projected average wage in the coming year, as projected by the state forecasting body in its autumn forecast, tripartite negotiations, including the employees and employers, take place.<\/p>\n<p>The trade unions, however, objected to the formula proposed by the government since it could result in the freezing of the minimum statutory wage.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, if both the inflation and productivity gain fail to exceed 1%, then the statutory minimum wage is kept constant from one year to another.
