The season of Christmas markets and fairs kicks off this week in Sibiu, Craiova, and in Bucharest, while an exhibition on Caravaggio’s influence opens in Timi\u0219oara. \n

Christmas Story Fair<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the ninth edition of the event held at Bucharest\u2019s Children Opera and the program covers 112 performances, interactive activities and workshops designed for young visitors. Children and families can participate in creative sessions at the Elves’ Workshops, a VR Adventure in Santa’s Sleigh, Santa’s Sleigh Flight, the Time Tunnel, Grinch’s Grotto, the Magic Elevator, or the Toy Carousel and the Magic Wheel. Hungarian Film Week<\/span><\/p>\n

The Hungarian releases of the past year, awarded at international festivals or not yet screened in Bucharest, are part of the program. SoNoRo<\/span><\/p>\n

Garden of Lights: Beauty and the Beast<\/span><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event, entitled <\/span>Christmas Unboxed, is held in several venues in Sibiu. The city\u2019s Grand Square hosts the 22-meter Ferris wheel and the 600-square-meter ice rink, the Lower Square hosts <\/span>Santa\u2019s Land, a venue dedicated to children, while in Huet Square visitors will be able to enjoy a walk under an installation of illuminated trees. Craiova Christmas Market<\/span><\/p>\n

November 15 \u2013 January 5<\/span><\/p>\n
