More on the program <a href=\"https:\/\/fnt.ro\/2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Bucharest Feminist Film Festival\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>October 17 &#8211; October 20<\/p>\n<p>The Romanian Peasant Museum Cinema hosts the event which includes a short films program, documentary films, theater performances and more. The program is available <a href=\"https:\/\/bfff.ro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Bucharest Photofest<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Until October 20<\/p>\n<p>The theme of this year\u2019s event is <em>Resilience<\/em>, and the festival will explore how photography captures the strength and perseverance of the human spirit. In addition to the photography exhibitions, the public can enjoy film screening and live music concerts featuring well-known artists. More details <a href=\"https:\/\/gardenoflights.com\/ro\/bucharest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Art Safari<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Until December 15<\/p>\n<p>This edition of the event celebrates women that have made a significant contribution to Romanian art and culture, among them Queen Marie and artist Cecilia Cu\u021bescu-Storck. One show is dedicated to German photographer Sibylle Bergemann, while another features the emerging generation of artists. More\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mnar.ro\/en\/arhiva-evenimentelor\/event\/752-the-year-of-art-films-at-the-national-museum-of-art-of-romania\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In the country:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Timi\u0219oara Architecture Biennial<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Until October 27<\/p>\n<p>The 2024 Beta Biennial\u2019s main exhibition is <em>cover me softly<\/em> and is \u201can exploration of covers across disciplines, mediums, and geographies.\u201d Workshops, film screenings and music are also part of the program, which is available\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/betacity.eu\/en\/events\/?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Astra Film Festival<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>October 20 &#8211; October 27<\/p>\n<p>The 31st edition of the festival taking place in Sibiu brings a selection of the top documentaries of the past year, Romanian and international productions, competing in several sections. More on the program and the associated events <a href=\"https:\/\/www.astrafilm.ro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>One World Oradea<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>October 18 &#8211; October 20<\/p>\n<p>The documentary film and human rights festival returns to Oradea, with films from the selection of the 17th edition, under the theme <em>Choose! <\/em>The screenings are followed by discussions moderated by R\u0103zvan Marchi\u0219, director and cultural producer. Access to screenings is free. The screenings are subtitled in Romanian and English.
