{"id":2071,"date":"2024-10-11T08:04:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-11T08:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=2071"},"modified":"2024-10-11T08:04:00","modified_gmt":"2024-10-11T08:04:00","slug":"romanias-annual-inflation-rate-falls-to-4-6-in-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=2071","title":{"rendered":"Romania\u2019s annual inflation rate falls to 4.6% in September"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Romania\u2019s annual inflation rate fell sharply to 4.6% in September from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.romania-insider.com\/romania-inflation-august-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">5.1% in August<\/a>, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/insse.ro\/cms\/sites\/default\/files\/com_presa\/com_pdf\/ipc09r24.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official\u00a0report<\/a>\u00a0released by the statistics institute INS on Friday, October 11.<\/p>\n<p>The inflation rate since the beginning of the year (September 2024 compared to December 2023) was 3.8%.<\/p>\n<p>Within a year, the biggest increases were recorded in September for services, where the rise was 7.88%, while food goods rose in price by 4.72%, and non-food goods by 3.3%, <a href=\"https:\/\/economedia.ro\/rata-anuala-a-inflatiei-a-coborat-in-septembrie-la-46.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Economedia.ro<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>Among foods, the biggest year-over-year price increases were recorded for vegetables and canned vegetables &#8211; 13.79%, canned fruits &#8211; 9.8%, wine &#8211; 8.25%, and citrus fruits &#8211; 7.73%.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to non-food goods, detergents were the star of price increases with 14.72%, followed by chemicals &#8211; 10.66%, and tobacco and cigarettes &#8211; 10.11%.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the service tariff increase was mainly influenced by a 17.8% hike in postal services and a 17.17% rise in air transport.<\/p>\n<p>irina.marica@romania-insider.com<\/p>\n<p>(Photo source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dreamstime.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tero V<\/a><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dreamstime.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">esalainen\/Dreamstime.com<\/a>)<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Romania\u2019s annual inflation rate fell sharply to 4.6% in September from 5.1% in August, according to the official\u00a0report\u00a0released by the statistics institute INS on Friday, October 11.
