{"id":1758,"date":"2024-09-19T13:00:41","date_gmt":"2024-09-19T13:00:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=1758"},"modified":"2024-09-19T13:00:41","modified_gmt":"2024-09-19T13:00:41","slug":"romanian-born-corina-oproae-wins-spanish-literary-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=1758","title":{"rendered":"Romanian-born Corina Oproae wins Spanish literary award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Writer and translator Corina Oproae has won this year\u2019s <em>Premio Tusquets Editores de Novela<\/em> for the novel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetadelibros.com\/premios\/premio-tusquets-editores-de-novela\/46#historia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>La casa lim\u00f3n<\/em><\/a>, set against the background of the Ceau\u0219escu regime.<\/p>\n<p>Oproae, who was born in F\u0103g\u0103ra\u0219, has been living in Spain since 1998.<\/p>\n<p>She has published the poetry books <em>Mil y una muerte<\/em>, <em>Intermitencias<\/em>, and <em>Desde donde amar<\/em>. Her poems have been included in various anthologies published in Spain and Latin America.<\/p>\n<p>She has translated into Catalan and Spanish the work of Romanian authors such as Marin Sorescu, Lucian Blaga, Gellu Naum, Ana Blandiana (Jordi Dom\u00e8nech Prize for poetry translation in 2015), Norman Manea, Tatiana \u021a\u00eebuleac, Ioan Es. Pop, and Angela Marinescu, and American poet Mary Oliver.<\/p>\n<p>She is also the translator of <em>La poes\u00eda del siglo 20 en Ruman\u00eda <\/em>(<em>The Poetry of the 20th Century in Romania<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>The Tusquets Prize recognizes Spanish-language authors.
