{"id":166,"date":"2024-05-21T06:52:35","date_gmt":"2024-05-21T06:52:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=166"},"modified":"2024-05-21T06:52:35","modified_gmt":"2024-05-21T06:52:35","slug":"consolidation-deal-cleared-on-romanias-meat-processing-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=166","title":{"rendered":"Consolidation deal cleared on Romania\u2019s meat processing market"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Romanian competition body Consiliul Concurentei authorized the transaction by which Abatorul Peri\u0219, the largest pig and pork processor in the southeast of Romania, takes over three regional meat processing and marketing units owned by the local entrepreneur Alin Zamfira through the Cathedral Group.<\/p>\n<p>The target companies are Almado Total Distribution, Cathedral Distribution, and Policalita, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.economica.net\/consiliul-concurentei-a-autorizat-afacerea-prin-care-abatorul-peris-preia-companiile-omului-de-afaceri-alin-zamfira-in-schimbul-unui-pachet-de-40-din-actiuni_748120.html?mc_cid=1d6fae9bf6&amp;mc_eid=cd1f92f96c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Economica.net<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>Abatorul Peri\u0219 is part of Agricover Holding and estimates its 2023 turnover at EUR 100 million.<\/p>\n<p>The Cathedral group, with an annual consolidated business of approximately EUR 40 million and over 300 employees, began its activity in 2015.
