He also invited the president-elect to visit Romania.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs neighbors, EU partners, and NATO allies, there is much we can do together for the security and development of our region, starting with the Black Sea,\u201d Dan wrote on X.<br \/>\n\u201cI look forward to welcoming president Iotova to Romania soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NicusorDanRO\/status\/2117144252304015755\">https:\/\/x.com\/NicusorDanRO\/status\/2117144252304015755<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bulgaria\u2019s acting president Iliana Iotova won the presidential runoff with 57.58% of the vote, according to near-final results reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/europe\/bulgarias-iotova-wins-presidential-runoff-near-final-results-show-2026-11-02\/\">Reuters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With 99.95% of polling station protocols processed, the Iotova-Valchev ticket had reportedly received around 1.1 million votes. Opponents Andrey Gyurov and Georgi Kandev secured 39.47%, or approximately 749,500 votes.<\/p>\n<p>Iotova\u2019s victory makes her Bulgaria\u2019s first elected female head of state.
