Around six million lights will decorate Bucharest\u2019s main boulevards and squares during the 2026 winter season, the City Hall announced. Installation work has already begun and is being carried out at night to limit traffic disruption.<\/p>\n
The Municipal Public Lighting Company is reusing decorations already held in storage, including light nets, strings, illuminated icicles, and giant ornaments measuring 80 cm in diameter, the authorities said.<\/p>\n
\u201cSix million lights will decorate the capital\u2019s main boulevards this winter,\u201d Bucharest City Hall announced on Facebook.<\/p>\n
The first decorations were installed on Lasc\u0103r Catargiu Boulevard and Kiseleff Road. Work will continue in stages along Aviatorilor Road, Calea Victoriei, Regina Elisabeta Boulevard, Magheru Boulevard, and I.C. Br\u0103tianu Boulevard, as well as in Roman\u0103 and Constitu\u021biei squares.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe festive display will begin on the evening of November 27, when we open the Christmas market in Constitu\u021biei Square,\u201d the City Hall said. \u201cIt will continue into January, after St. John\u2019s Day.\u201d<\/p>\n
