PPC blue Romania and retail park developer Cometex signed an agreement to expand electric vehicle charging infrastructure nationwide. More than 300 charging points are planned at selected Altex and Bricostore locations and across Cometex\u2019s network of 19 retail parks.<\/p>\n
Twenty charging points have already been installed in Giurgiu, Slatina, Bucharest, C\u00e2mpina, Media\u0219, and Hu\u0219i. Another 16 are due to be completed in T\u00e2rgu Neam\u021b and Pantelimon, according to PPC blue.<\/p>\n
The existing network includes a hub with eight charging points and 450 kW of installed capacity at Aurora Retail Park in Giurgiu. Other sites currently provide between 50 kW and 100 kW of charging capacity.<\/p>\n
\u201cElectric mobility is taking shape through solid partnerships, well-targeted investments, and solutions that are easily accessible to users,\u201d stated Andreea-Dana Popescu, general manager of PPC blue Romania.<\/p>\n
She said the company was focusing on integrating charging stations into frequently visited locations such as retail parks and shopping centers, including cities where it does not yet operate.<\/p>\n
PPC blue will also gradually take over the charging network developed by Cometex, adding more than 87 points to its own infrastructure. The companies said the transition would be carried out while maintaining service availability for retail park customers.<\/p>\n
\u201cCar parks are no longer just spaces for vehicles; they are becoming infrastructure that supports these new habits,\u201d said Cometex general manager Adrian Urd\u0103.<\/p>\n
Cometex, part of the Altex group, operates 19 retail parks in 18 Romanian cities. Its portfolio includes locations in Bac\u0103u, Bra\u0219ov, Caracal, Dej, Deva, Drobeta Turnu-Severin, Giurgiu, Hu\u0219i, R\u00e2mnicu V\u00e2lcea, Slatina, Satu Mare, and Vatra Dornei.<\/p>\n
