{"id":12469,"date":"2026-10-15T07:01:58","date_gmt":"2026-10-15T07:01:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=12469"},"modified":"2026-10-15T07:01:58","modified_gmt":"2026-10-15T07:01:58","slug":"rheinmetall-yet-to-confirm-takeover-of-romanian-shipyard-mangalia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=12469","title":{"rendered":"Rheinmetall yet to confirm takeover of Romanian shipyard Mangalia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The judicial liquidator recently announced that the German defence group had won the auction for the sale of the entire asset.<\/p>\n<p>Contacted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediafax.ro\/economic\/rheinmetall-nu-a-notificat-inca-acordul-de-preluare-a-santierului-naval-mangalia-la-consiliul-concurentei-si-ceid-avizele-sunt-obligatorii-pentru-ca-tranzactia-sa-fie-finalizata-23825245\">Mediafax<\/a> to confirm the acquisition and whether it had submitted the required notifications to the authorities whose approval is necessary to complete the transaction, Rheinmetall\u2019s naval division said it would provide official information on the matter in a press release in the coming period.<\/p>\n<p>The two Romanian state bodies responsible for approving the transaction through which Rheinmetall would take over the Mangalia Shipyard had not been formally notified by the auction winner, with official notifications expected in the coming days, according to Mediafax sources.<\/p>\n<p>Damen Shipyards Mangalia <a href=\"https:\/\/www.romania-insider.com\/business\/romanias-mangalia-shipyard-sold-rheinmetall-eur-138-mln\">was awarded to Rheinmetall Real Estate Romania SRL<\/a> on Friday, October 9, in an auction organised by judicial liquidator CITR, at a price of EUR 138 mln, excluding VAT.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis step ensures the possibility of resuming the activity of the Mangalia Shipyard, one of Romania\u2019s most important industrial assets.
