The company said<\/a> that it would resume flights under a simplified scheme starting October 25.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s financial situation has deteriorated sharply in 2025, and the flight cancellations this October will generate a significant impact on the cash flow of the company that has already filed for insolvency.<\/p>\n

The shares of Christian \u201876 Tour (BVB: TRIP) tour operator, part of the same holding Memento Group that uses Animawings as a provider of charter flights, dropped by 6% on October 1 and by 13.3% on a weekly basis.<\/p>\n

The company said that the flight cancellations will be processed gradually. The passengers of the cancelled flights will be offered reimbursement or alternative travel solutions, Animawings said on September 30 when the first cancelled flights were announced. The company still sells tickets for the period after October 25, according to the company\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

The company’s previously announced plans were to increase its fleet to 14 aircraft by the end of next year.<\/p>\n

Marius Pandel, shareholder and chairman of the company’s Board of Directors, told Economica.net last year that Animawings was planning to carry over one million passengers in 2025 and estimated a turnover of around EUR 90-100 million.<\/p>\n

The company eventually reported a turnover of only EUR 66.5 million for 2025, still more than double the result reported for 2024, but not the one estimated by the company official. In addition, from a profit of around EUR 400,000 in 2024, the company reported losses of over EUR 22 million in 2025.<\/p>\n
