Its direct competitor on the Romanian market is German retailer dm.<\/p>\n<p>BIPA operates more than 500 drugstores in Austria and 139 in Croatia.<\/p>\n<p>The company has opened nine stores in Romania in the nine months since entering the market. The first BIPA store in Romania opened on January 22, 2026, in Bucharest\u2019s Mega Mall.<\/p>\n<p>BIPA\u2019s nine Romanian stores are located in Bucharest, Chiajna (Ilfov County), near T\u00e2rgovi\u015fte, Sf\u00e2ntu Gheorghe, Bran, Slobozia, Pite\u015fti, N\u0103vodari and Giurgiu.<\/p>\n<p>The company is preparing to open further stores in Slatina, at Retail Park Slatina; Chitila, at Chitila Plaza by R\u0103d\u0103cini; and T\u00e2rgu Secuiesc, in the commercial space at M Park T\u00e2rgu Secuiesc.
