She studied foreign languages and literature in Cluj-Napoca and Bucharest. Her work includes the poetry volume <em>Pove\u0219ti cu mine<\/em><em> (2006), the short story volumes <\/em> Cinci minute pe zi<em> (2011) and <\/em> Escapada <em>(2014), the children\u2019s series <\/em> Rostogol<em>, and the novels <\/em> Interior zero <em>(2016), <\/em> Sonia ridic\u0103 m\u00e2na<em> (2019), <\/em> M\u0103 g\u0103se\u015fti c\u00e2nd vrei<em> (2021), and <\/em> Camping (2025), among others.<\/p>\n<p>The nominated novel, <em>Camping<\/em>, follows Sofia, a Romanian woman who lives and works at a campsite in Spain, as she plans her return home as she approaches retirement.<\/p>\n<p>The prize\u2019s shortlist will be announced on October 15, while the awards will be handed out on November 2.<\/p>\n<p>The jury of the Prix M\u00e9dicis, chaired by playwright and novelist Pascale Roze, is composed of Marianne Alphant, Michel Braudeau, Marie Darrieussecq, Dominique Fernandez, Anne F. Garr\u00e9ta, Patrick Grainville, Andre\u00ef Makine, and Alain Veinstein. At the beginning of November, they vote by secret ballot for their chosen candidate until one of them obtains a majority.
