{"id":11716,"date":"2026-08-27T07:01:17","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T07:01:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=11716"},"modified":"2026-08-27T07:01:17","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T07:01:17","slug":"eurowind-energy-romania-secures-grid-approvals-for-2-3-gw-of-renewable-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=11716","title":{"rendered":"Eurowind Energy Romania secures grid approvals for 2.3 GW of renewable projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eurowind Energy Romania has obtained Technical Connection Approvals for 2,307 MW of renewable energy capacity, covering wind, photovoltaic and battery storage projects, as it advances a development pipeline of approximately 7.5 GW, the company said in a press release quoted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.economica.net\/danezii-de-la-eurowind-au-obtinut-avizele-tehnice-de-racordare-pentru-2-300-mw-de-capacitate-regenerabila-in-romania-cel-mai-mare-proiect-un-ansamblu-eolian-de-aproape-1-200-mw-in-botosani_971332.html?mc_cid=d88133eae7&amp;mc_eid=cd1f92f96c\" target=\"_blank\">Economica.net<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The approvals, obtained in June 2026, cover seven projects across Constan\u021ba, Prahova, Boto\u0219ani, Br\u0103ila and Gala\u021bi counties. The largest are a 900 MW wind project in Albe\u0219ti, Constan\u021ba County, and a 1,188 MW wind project in Boto\u0219ani County.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining approved capacity comprises a 49 MW photovoltaic and battery storage project in M\u0103ne\u0219ti, Prahova County, and wind projects in St\u0103ncu\u021ba, Br\u0103ila County, with 49.6 MW, Lie\u0219ti and Slobozia Conachi in Gala\u021bi County, each with 49.6 MW, and Pechea, Gala\u021bi County, with 21.6 MW.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe currently have a pipeline of approximately 7.5 GW in various stages of development. [&#8230;] Obtaining technical connection approvals for an additional 2,307 MW of capacity is an essential step in developing our project portfolio,\u201d said Adrian Dobre, Country Manager of Eurowind Energy Romania.<\/p>\n<p>The projects are planned for connection to Romania\u2019s national electricity system after 2030. Their construction and grid connection will depend on the development of the electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure and on obtaining the required construction permits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe projects are scheduled for connection to the national energy system after 2030, but their connection and the completion of the investment depend on the consolidation of the grid and the timely obtaining of construction permits,\u201d Dobre said.<\/p>\n<p>Eurowind Energy has operated in Romania since 2011 and currently has four operational solar parks in H\u0103lchiu, M\u0103gurele, Pufe\u0219ti and Teiu\u0219, as well as the Pecineaga wind farm.
