Budget carrier Wizz Air is opening a base at Bra\u0219ov-Ghimbav International Airport with one Airbus A321neo aircraft and will add four new destinations from the central Romania city starting this winter.<\/p>\n
Starting in December, passengers will be able to fly from Bra\u0219ov to Karlsruhe\/Baden-Baden, Chi\u0219in\u0103u, Barcelona and Madrid.<\/p>\n
The Nuremberg route will resume on October 26.<\/p>\n
Wizz Air operates flights from Bra\u0219ov to London, Budapest, Dortmund, Rome, Milan, Naples, Memmingen, Warsaw and Katowice.<\/p>\n
The airline began operating in Bra\u0219ov in August 2023, shortly after the country\u2019s newest airport opened. Since then, it has carried more than 800,000 passengers, it said.<\/p>\n
The airline currently operates 231 routes from 14 airports in Romania, connecting passengers to 83 destinations in 26 countries.<\/p>\n

Wizz Air’s Romanian network began with flights from T\u00e2rgu Mure\u0219 before expanding to Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timi\u0219oara, Craiova, Sibiu, Ia\u0219i, Constan\u021ba, Suceava, Satu Mare, Bac\u0103u, Bra\u0219ov and, most recently, Oradea, where operations started in March 2026.<\/p>\n
