{"id":11408,"date":"2026-08-05T09:00:24","date_gmt":"2026-08-05T09:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=11408"},"modified":"2026-08-05T09:00:24","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T09:00:24","slug":"romanian-film-evenings-return-to-iasi-for-17th-edition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=11408","title":{"rendered":"Romanian Film Evenings return to Ia\u0219i for 17th edition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Preview screenings, theatre performances, concerts, and meetings with filmmakers are part of the program of the 17th edition of the <em>Romanian Film Evenings<\/em> (SFR), taking place in Ia\u0219i from August 5 to August 9.<\/p>\n<p>The central theme of the 2026 edition is <em>Therapy<\/em>, seen as an invitation to introspection and the search for inner balance. In an increasingly fast-paced, fragmented and overstimulated world, film, theatre and music offer audiences a way to see both the world and themselves with greater clarity, the organizers explain.<\/p>\n<p>The festival will open with Paul Negoescu\u2019s <em>Atlas of the Universe<\/em>, a film that was selected for the Generation section of the Berlin International Film Festival and \u00c9crans Juniors in Cannes.<\/p>\n<p>Other films that will be screened at the festival include <em>Y<\/em>, directed by Maria Popista\u0219u and Alexandru Baciu; <em>Mountain Wanderers<\/em> by Cosmin Dumitrache; and <em>Fragments from a Workshop<\/em>, produced at the SFR Academy under the mentorship of Bogdan Mure\u0219anu.<\/p>\n<p>Theatre also plays a prominent role at this year&#8217;s edition. Audiences in Ia\u0219i will be able to see <em>Boys in\u00a0Zinc<\/em>, a production by Bulandra Theatre based on the work of Svetlana Alexievich and directed by Yuri Kordonsky.
