{"id":10839,"date":"2026-06-30T06:01:30","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T06:01:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=10839"},"modified":"2026-06-30T06:01:30","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T06:01:30","slug":"knaufs-eur-88-million-plant-in-romanias-huedin-to-be-operational-by-end-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=10839","title":{"rendered":"Knauf\u2019s EUR 88 million plant in Romania\u2019s Huedin to be operational by end-2027"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Knauf Gips\u2019 gypsum board plant in Huedin, in Cluj county, is expected to become operational by the end of 2027, the company said in an announcement quoted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bursa.ro\/investitie-de-88-de-milioane-de-euro-fabrica-knauf-de-la-huedin-va-fi-operationala-pana-la-sfarsitul-anului-2027-20034951?mc_cid=6575164480&amp;mc_eid=cd1f92f96c\" target=\"_blank\">Bursa.ro<\/a>.\u00a0The project is an investment of EUR 88 million.<\/p>\n<p>The facility\u2019s foundations have been completed, the structural framework is 65% finished, and roof installation is currently underway, in line with the execution schedule.<\/p>\n<p>The new production facility will have an annual capacity of 30 million sqm of gypsum boards for the residential, commercial, and industrial segments. The plant will process raw materials extracted from the Leghia\u2013Dumbrava gypsum quarries, located approximately 15 kilometers away.<\/p>\n<p>The project will create approximately 80 jobs, as well as \u201cadditional business opportunities for local suppliers, transport companies, and service providers in the region,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Huedin investment represents an important step in Knauf\u2019s development in Romania. The new plant will allow us to better meet the growing demand for modern construction materials and, at the same time, contribute to the economic development of the local community.
