The decision came amid a reshuffling of Wizz Air\u2019s operational network.<\/p>\n<p>The flights in question originated from Bucharest\u2019s two airports, namely \u201cHenri Coand\u0103\u201d Otopeni and \u201cAurel Vlaicu\u201d B\u0103neasa, as well as regional airports such as those in Craiova and Timi\u0219oara, BoardingPass reported.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Four routes were cancelled from the two Bucharest airports:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bucharest \u2013 Bratislava (Slovakia). Flights will be discontinued at the beginning of summer, with the last scheduled flight on June 29, 2026.<br \/>\nBucharest \u2013 Paris Orly (France). The connection will be eliminated after August 9, 2026. The low-cost operator will keep only flights to Beauvais airport in its portfolio.<br \/>\nBucharest \u2013 Pescara (Italy). Wizz Air will permanently abandon this route at the end of the official 2026 summer season.<br \/>\nBucharest B\u0103neasa \u2013 Wroclaw (Poland). This direct air connection will be suspended toward the end of the year, starting with the final days of October 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Wizz Air has also decided to completely cancel the launch of the route to Birmingham (United Kingdom) from the \u201cTraian Vuia\u201d airport in Timi\u0219oara, even though the flights were scheduled to begin on May 21, 2026, with a frequency of two flights per week.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, beginning at the end of June 2026, the airline will cancel all regular flights operated between Craiova airport and Memmingen (Germany).<\/p>\n<p>Wizz Air\u2019s announcement came after Flyone, a private low-cost airline headquartered in Chi\u0219in\u0103u, Republic of Moldova, decided last week to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.romania-insider.com\/flyone-cancels-nearly-all-routes-bucharest-may-2026\">cancel nearly all its routes<\/a> to and from Otopeni Airport in Bucharest.
