{"id":1025,"date":"2024-07-24T10:10:49","date_gmt":"2024-07-24T10:10:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=1025"},"modified":"2024-07-24T10:10:49","modified_gmt":"2024-07-24T10:10:49","slug":"nicolae-grigorescu-exhibition-hamlet-performance-open-romania-poland-cultural-season-in-gdansk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=1025","title":{"rendered":"Nicolae Grigorescu exhibition, Hamlet performance open Romania-Poland cultural season in Gda\u0144sk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The exhibition <em>Nicolae Grigorescu, a Painter of the Romanian Ethos<\/em> and a <em>Hamlet <\/em>production of the Marin Sorescu Theater in Craiova will officially open the <em>Romania-Poland Cultural Season 2024-2025<\/em>, the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) announced.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition, a project of the National Museum of Art of Romania (MNAR), will be on display at the National Museum in Gda\u0144sk between July 27 and October 28. It covers 44 paintings from MNAR\u2019s collection and 49 folk art items from the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum. The show is meant to \u201coffer access to an important part of our cultural history and showcase the Romanian art\u2019s journey towards modernity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A program of debates, concerts, workshops, and lectures organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Warsaw will support the exhibition by providing the historical and cultural context in which the Romanian painter created.<\/p>\n<p>Two performances of <em>Hamlet<\/em>, a Marin Sorescu Theater production directed by Declan Donnellan, will take place on July 28 and July 29 as part of Gda\u0144sk\u2019s Shakespeare Festival. At the same time, Vlad Dr\u0103gulescu\u2019s installation <em>Shakespeare Dimensions.
