{"id":10219,"date":"2026-05-19T07:01:24","date_gmt":"2026-05-19T07:01:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=10219"},"modified":"2026-05-19T07:01:24","modified_gmt":"2026-05-19T07:01:24","slug":"radu-judes-latest-film-to-have-romanian-premiere-at-transilvania-iff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofero.news\/?p=10219","title":{"rendered":"Radu Jude\u2019s latest film to have Romanian premiere at Transilvania IFF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Radu Jude\u2019s <em>Journal d\u2019une femme de chambre\/ The Diary of a Chambermaid<\/em>, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.romania-insider.com\/jude-directors-fortnight-apr-2026\" target=\"_blank\">premiered in this year\u2019s Quinzaine des Cin\u00e9astes\/Directors\u2019 Fortnight<\/a>, will have its Romanian premiere at Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF).<\/p>\n<p>The film, written and directed by Jude, is a production by French SBS, co-produced by Romanian Avanpost.<\/p>\n<p>Loosely inspired by Octave Mirbeau\u2019s novel of the same name, the film brings \u201ca contemporary reinterpretation of the story through a perspective that brings into dialogue Romania and France, East and West, migration, domestic labor, social inequalities, and power relations in today\u2019s Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The cast includes Ana Dumitra\u0219cu, Vincent Macaigne, M\u00e9lanie Thierry, Am\u00e9lie Pr\u00e9vot, Louve Proust, Louen Bouteiller, Ilinca Manolache, Sofia Ioana Dragoman, and Liliana Ghi\u021b\u0103. Cinematography is by Marius Panduru (RSC), and editing is by C\u0103t\u0103lin Cristu\u021biu.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the Romanian company Avanpost has been involved as a producer, co-producer, and post-production partner in four titles presented in Cannes.
